WHAT IS A DApp?

WHAT IS A DApp?

A DApp is essentially a decentralized application interface specifically designed to run on blockchain

Decentralized applications (DApp) are very useful to connect different people in marketplaces, sharing resources and storing them, maintaining cryptos as well as executing smart contracts without giving ownership to one central authority.

How to access DApps

2.Once the wallet is downloaded on your phone, back it up by writing the 12 word recovery phrase and store it securely in a safe place

3.Now you’re ready to start using the wallet and DApp browser

WHY SHOULD I CARE ABOUT CRYPTOCURRENCY?

WHY SHOULD I CARE ABOUT CRYPTOCURRENCY?

One of the hot topics everywhere these days is “CRYPTOCURRENCY“

But is it worth it?

Is it a good investment?

What does it take to get started? Why should you care about it?

This post is a summary of what you should know about Cryptocurrency,

The basics of blockchain,

 How to Invest in Crypto and why you should care about Bitcoin.

Let’s unpack what in the world is crypto first.

WHAT ARE CRYPTOCURRENCIES?

I’m sure you have probably heard the term “cryptocurrency” being tossed around now and again, but what does it really mean?

Basically, Cryptocurrency is a type of money that exists entirely online

It doesn’t have a physical form,

It is not controlled by a financial intermediary, a bank, a currency exchange, or even a government but it exists on a ledger system known as Blockchain.

A blockchain is a specific type of data that is stored electronically on a computer system

In Bitcoin’s case, A blockchain is used in a way that no single person or group, has control. Typically, all users retain control.

This also means that the transaction data entered are irreversible, permanently recorded, and viewable.

Imagine you buy a property, you get a “deed of conveyance” to make sure no one else has a claim to the property

If all the title changes were recorded on a blockchain, there would be no need for the deed of conveyance...........The registration would be irreversible and very visible on a blockchain ledger.

WHY SHOULD ANYONE INVEST IN CRYPTOCURRENCY?

Ever heard of Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Litecoin, XRP, or Ethereum?

They’re actually types of cryptocurrency (aka digital money). And they’re trending everywhere you look.

But the million-dollar (crypto?) question here is, should you invest in cryptocurrency?

Well, the global data analytics company just predicted that the revenue from blockchain platforms and services will soar from 14 billion dollars in 2020 to 199 billion dollars in 2030.

According to another survey by “The Ascent”, 21 million Americans, own Bitcoin.

In fact, half of them bought it during the last 12-month.

Also, El-Salvador became the very first country to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender

This information simply means that Crypto markets are being established, and many companies are gaining direct exposure to the cryptocurrency sector.

It's possible to get filthy rich by investing in cryptocurrency in 2021. But you could also lose all of your money. How can both be true?

Truth is, the road to building wealth is slow and steady, and there are still way too many unknowns when it comes to cryptocurrency, the more reason you should start your crypto investing & trading journey with a well-experienced investor, one who understands how the crypto market works; what moves prices up and down, who cares about protecting your hard-earned money.

More so, one who is willing to teach you all you need to know about crypto at no cost. To help you invest, trade right and groom you with a one-on-one guide is why CryptoHood exits.

TO BE CONTINUED!

HOW DO I INVEST IN CRYPTOCURRENCY?

HOW DO I INVEST IN CRYPTOCURRENCY?

Yesterday, we talked about the What and Why of Cryptocurrency.

Today, I’ll be talking about How To Invest in Cryptocurrency

So Hang with me, I’m about to get pretty techy here

To buy Cryptocurrency, you’ll need something called a digital wallet-usually in an app that can hold your currency.

Before you have a digital wallet, you’ll need to create an account on a crypto exchange.

An exchange is a digital marketplace where traders can buy and sell cryptocurrencies using different fiat currencies & stable coins (USD, NGN, USDT, BUSD).

Some of the Top Cryptocurrency exchanges are:

1. Binance

2. Coin base

3. Kraken

4. Gemini

NOTE that CryptoHood highly recommends BINANCE as the best crypto exchange to buy and sell your crypto coins.

After creating an account, you can transfer/deposit real money from your bank account, although consequent upon the Federal Government ban from bank processing crypto-related transactions, you can buy through P2P. That's a topic for another day.

HOW MUCH IS NEEDED TO INVEST IN CRYPTOCURRENCY?

As with any new investment, it is important to do your research on cryptocurrency to understand all of the risks involved.

Or,

You could sit down with a well-experienced investor, one who understands how the crypto market works; what moves prices up and down, who cares about protecting your hard-earned money.

More so, one who is willing to help you invest, trade, right, and groom you with a one-on-one guide.

What is a peer to peer network?

What is a peer to peer network?

Let me explain,

A peer to peer network is a group of 2 or more devices - for example, no like devices, computers e.t.c that are set up in a way that assets like Digital currency are directly exchanged.

This simply means that users can send and receive Cryptocurrency all around the world without relying on a central server or intermediaries such as banks and financial institution.

Before a peer to peer transaction occurs, you must have data relating to the person or entity you are interacting with.

The data you have on that person can range from a Bitcoin wallet address to their IP address, or even location

Add to your notice that CryptoHood also provides P2P services to its members on the Our various social media groups

7 Ways To Get 280+ in #JAMB2022

7 Ways To Get 280+ in #JAMB2022

In Nigeria, your JAMB score is what will ultimately determine what higher institution and course will take you.

Your JAMB is very important and strategic. If you want to study a choice, reputable course you must aim to get at least 250 in JAMB.

How do you get 250+ in JAMB?

JAMB is an A-Level exam and this means that its questions are advanced, sophisticated, and beyond what you do in secondary school.
So to pass in flying colors, follow these directives:

1. Study all the past questions textbooks diligently at least four times each. Know why the answers are the answers and why the non-answers are wrong. Most times, past questions get repeated. A lot.

Have a notebook, preferably a portable 2A that you can take anywhere and note down important points.

2. Study with detailed textbooks. Download textbooks online and use them for diligent studies. Note down points from them. Over the years, I've download relevant textbooks from the net and will be happy to send them to you.

3. Set questions for yourself. Make them as hard as possible, for the way you practise is the way you will fight.

4. Get a reading partner that is bright. Iron sharpens iron as a man sharpens his friend. You will remember more the things you speak of with your friend than the ones you read silently.

5. Work on your memory. Memory is one of the most essential skills you need in the exam hall. If your memory is dull, nothing can help you get a high score. I'd write on memory soon.

6. Know what JAMB wants by studying their syllabus. Fortunately, JAMB gives a syllabus and if you study it diligently, you can know where to focus your reading fire.

7. Enroll in a viable tutorial that knows what it is doing, like #msuapp๐Ÿ’•⛅๐Ÿ™Œ. A great Tutorial is a shortcut that bridges the gap between your JAMB dream and fulfilment.

Enroll in a viable place where you meet bright tutors, aspiring students, and get a red-hot zeal for excellence.

Ex-JAMB Boss diverted N341.9 from NECO for Printing Press, School, building – ICPC Witness

Ex-JAMB Boss diverted N341.9 from NECO for Printing Press, School, building – ICPC Witness

The High Court of Niger State, in Minna, was told how a former Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Dibu Ojeriende, allegedly divertedN341.9 million from the National Examination Council (NECO) to set up a personal printing press, school and buildings.

Prosecution witness, Dr. Jimoh Olatunde, who testified before the trial judge, Justice Abdullahi Mikailu, in the on-going trial of Ojerinde, told the court that N216, 297.443 was deceitfully withdrawn from NECO account for payments for 17 fictitious printing contracts, which was in actual sense, used for establishing the printing press.

Dr. Olatunde is the first witness to be brought before Justice Mikailu, in a 10-count charge of official corruption and abuse of office brought against Ojerinde by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

The witness, who is a former deputy director and Head of Treasury at NECO said, “We follow due process for the award of the contracts strictly on paper but I am confirming to this court that I know what went on underneath despite perfection of all the documents and processes.

‘Let me give you an instance, between 2004/5 most printing contracts were awarded to these 17 companies owned by a friend of Prof. Dibu Ojerinde. He was the one in charge of all printing materials in NECO.

‘He brought a handwritten bill of N246, 914, 890 when he wanted to establish a printing press for Prof Dibu Ojeriende and I was directed to pay 87.6% amounting to N216, 297.443 only. We perfected all the documents through award of fictitious contracts to the 17 companies.”

While being led in evidence by counsel to ICPC, Ebenezer Shogunle, the witness testified about the various properties he acquired in Minna for Ojerinde using different fronts including one Alhaji Muri Lamidi, and fictitious address in Kontagora, Niger State.

The witness further listed before the court, a multiple storey building known as ‘TejumolaHouse’, Ojodu, Lagos, which was acquired in 2003, in the name of Doyin OgbohiIndustries Ltd from Intercontinental Bank for N27 million and Sapati International School, Ilorin, Kwara State, which was built at an initial contract sum of N98.6 million.

The witness who took full responsibility for all the illegal withdrawal of funds from NECO being the Head of Treasury as at the time the alleged fraud took place, told the court that assets were acquired with stolen public funds.

A total of 18 documents including correspondence addressed to the witness as ‘Client Representative’ by the various contractors used for the projects as well as Bills of Quantities were tendered and admitted in evidence.

The witness also tendered some documents to show that a number of shares in some blue chip companies acquired for the former JAMB boss were transferred to ‘Madiba’sTrust’, an entity created to consolidate.

While being cross examined by counsel to the Defendant, Ibrahim Ishyaku, SAN, the ICPC witness also tendered a list of 17 companies which he said were used to siphon funds from NECO to acquire some of the companies and assets for the benefit of the Defendant.

The matter has been adjourned to 7-8 March, 2022 for continuation of hearing following complaint of back ache by the witness and further cross examination by the defence counsel.h

▪️DESCRIPTIVE SOLUTIONS:

N/B: Only selected Questions will be solved, if you have any concerns outside this, Please let us know”

1) Two types of Units are recognised in Physics.
•Fundamental and derived Units•

2) Dimensional formular of Power.

Power = Energy /Time

Let's use P.E to derive our energy.
P.E = m × g × h
P.E = kg × m/s² × m
P.E = kg m²/s²

Mass(kg) = M
meter (m) = L
Time(s) = T
P.E = ML²T-²

Power = ML²T-² /T
Power = ML²T-³

▪️Method B✍️

2) Power = work done/time taken
 = Force × distance
    ----------------------
          Time
= Kgms-² × m
   ----------------
          s
= Kgm²s-³ = ML²T-³

3) Energy = hf
Where h = Planck constant
Therefore Planck constant = Energy/frequency
= Force × distance
    ---------------------
         Frequency
Frequency is the inverse of time
Therefore Planck constant = Energy × time
= Kgms-² × m × s
=Kgm²s-¹

5) All are Scalar quantities except “Force”
Force is a vector quantity (having magnitude and direction).

11) S = ut + 1/2 at²

S is directly proportional to t²
(1/2 is constant)
This is only possible in uniformly accelerated motion

12) This is illustrated in circular motion..

Uniform speed but varying direction..
Speed is uniform because it's a scalar quantity defined by only magnitude but not direction.
Velocity however, is not uniform because of the varying direction of the merry go round.
The boy also undergoes acceleration because of the varying direction” which lead to a “varying velocity.

13). Displacement can sometimes be zero for a body in motion.

If I leave my house and return to it.
I've travelled some distance but no -displacement- from my initial position which is “my house”

In the absence of displacement.
Average velocity is bound to be “zero”

14) The car simply 90km North and travelled backwards which is towards the south..
But it didn't travel up to 90m get to the equator.
90-40 = 50meters, North
It's still on the North Side

15) a = V-U/t
U= 10m/s
V= 0m/s
Time = 20s
a = 0-10/20
a= -0.5m/s²

17) The force required to prevent it from sliding downwards is equal to it's weight.

-Only under this condition can the body remain at rest;

But in moving the body up the plane.
We'll have to overcome weight and the force of friction.
This is because force of friction is now acting downwards alongside the weight.
Minimum force = Mgsin45 + U (mgcos45)

Sin 45 = Cos 45
Mgsin 45 = Mgcos 45

Minimum Force = F + 0.6 (F)
Minimum Force = 1.6F

19)
Image height(IH) = ?
Object height (OH) = 3cm
Object distance (U) = 10cm
Image distance (V) = 40cm

IH/OH = V/U
IH/ 3 = 40/10
IH = 3 × 40/10
IH = 12cm

6..Thou shalt regularly remind thyself about thy plan for the exam day.Thou shalt also keep faith with the techniques thou have just learned through MSU constant and relevant lectures’ practice.

7. On the day of the exam thou shall focus on thy techniques and not on unreliable alligators surrounding thy presence.

8.In the exam hall though shalt plan the timing of thy answers and keep strictly to the plan, and Thou shall not make use of the assistance slip in the exam hall.

9. Thou shall also answer easier topics and subjects first.If taking maths restrain thyself from taking even a peep at it until thou hast answered all the others (if it is one of thy subjects).

10. And lastly but not the least,thou MUST answer all questions!

#JAMB FACTORS:
Candidates are advise to Keep a step-by-step plan of how they intend to tackle the exam in the hall…either on a piece of paper or in your head.
-Remember that JAMB questions are EASY,HARD AND POSSIBLE/DISTRACTERS/TIME WASTERS.Also remember that the time wasters determine the FATE of many students by slowing down their pace.

-Remember also that Jamb answer options are Best answers,Partially Correct answers,Partially Wrong answers and Worst answers.
-Jamb’s focus is on speed and accuracy. A MATHS PROFESSOR CAN FAIL Jamb if he decides to devote all his time to scoring maximum available score in maths only.
